Bresh (Andrea Brasi)

Andrea Brasi, professionally known as Bresh, is an Italian singer and rapper. He is a member of Drilliguria, a collective of prominent Ligurian rappers, as well as the Milan collective Zona4gang.


Bresh gained significant success with his breakout single "Angelina Jolie" in early 2021, selling over one million singles in Italy. In 2023, he achieved two number one hits on the Italian singles chart with "Guasto d'amore" and "Nightmares". He was also honored with the Lunezia Prize in August 2023 for his song "Altamente mia", recognizing its musical and lyrical excellence.

Bresh's musical journey began in Bogliasco, a small commune in the Province of Genoa, where he started his career at the age of 15. He released his first mixtape titled "Cambiamenti" in 2012, collaborating with G Pillola (Gughi P) at the time. In 2013, he released his second project, "Cosa vogliamo fare", featuring collaborations with emerging local artists like Izi, Vaz Tè, Tedua, Dala Pai Pai, and Nader Shah.

After completing his studies, Bresh moved to Milan at the age of 19, along with his friends and colleagues Rkomi, Tedua, and Sonny Willa. During this time, he released several singles including "Baghera", "Gaston", "Prestigio", "Snake", "Astronauti", "Pe Pe Pe", "Ande", and "Gazza ladra". On 3 August 2017, he unveiled the music video for his single "Il bar dei miei" under the record label Thaurus.


Musical style

 
In 2019

Bresh made a comeback by featuring on Vaz Tè's track "Pesche e vino" alongside Gianni Bismark and Sick Luke. In 2020, he released the tracks "No Problem", "Oblò" with Rkomi, and "Team" with Vaz Tè, leading up to the release of his debut studio album, "Che io mi aiuti", on 14 February 2020 through Epic Records and Sony Music.

The album, which included previously unreleased songs and collaborations with Ketama126, Giaime, Disme, and Vaz Tè, was re-released on 24 July 2020. It achieved gold certification in Italy by FIMI.


2021–2022: 

Oro blu In 2021, Bresh achieved triple platinum certification in Italy for his single "Angelina Jolie," selling over 300,000 copies. This was followed by the release of the singles "Caffè" and "Andrea" to promote his second album, Oro blu. The album debuted at number one on the Italian albums chart on 4 March 2021.

In 2022

Bresh made an appearance in Claudio Cabona's docufilm, La nuova scuola genovese, where he discussed the musical characteristics of the Genoese school artistic movement alongside notable Genoese musicians like Tedua, Izi, and Vaz Tè. He also performed for the second time at the Goa-Boa festival on 26 June 2022. Additionally, he was featured on Camilla Magli's song "Kanye West," which was released on 1 July 2022.

2023

Musical project
On 27 January 2023

Bresh released his single "Guasto d'amore," which expresses his love for his football team, Genoa, and became a popular stadium chant. In August 2023, his single "Altamente mia" received the Lunezia Prize for its musical and lyrical excellence. He was also featured on Ernia's single "Parafulmini," alongside Fabri Fibra, released on 26 May 2023. On 29 September 2023, he released the single "Nightmares" in collaboration with Pinguini Tattici Nucleari.
